Brickworks Vande Moortel is proud to announce its participation as partner of the Belgian Pavilion at the World Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan. This prestigious event will take place from 13 April to 13 October 2025 and is dedicated to the overall theme ‘Designing Future Society of Our Lives’.
Designed by Walloon architectural firm Carré7, the Belgian pavilion will position itself within the sub-theme ‘Saving Lives’. In this, Brickworks Vande Moortel is making a sustainable contribution with its circular and high-quality clay pavers that will be present in the pavilion.
Sustainability and circularity at the center of attention
The choice of clay pavers from Brickworks Vande Moortel fits in perfectly with the theme of the pavilion. The clay pavers Ancienne Belgique are a natural and 100% circular paving solution that can be laid permeable to water, thus contributing to a sustainable future. Thanks to their exceptional quality, clay pavers have a lifespan of more than 160 years and can be fully recycled after use. Moreover, the clay paver is made of 100% natural materials and is an inert product.
Belgian innovation on the world map
The participants of Expo 2025 Osaka consist of about 150 countries and 25 international organisations and companies, including NGOs, NPOs and other organisations. The World Expo therefore provides a unique platform to put Belgian innovation and craftsmanship on the international map. Brickworks Vande Moortel is proud to contribute to the sustainable and future-oriented vision of the Belgian pavilion as a selected participant. Besides ‘Saving Lives’, the themes ‘Empowering Lives’ and ‘Connecting Lives’ also play a key role in the expo. Clay pavers by Vande Moortel show how traditional materials also have their place in sustainable projects for future generations.
